Interesting video. List building will always be the big hurdle for most. It is the old question of how do you build a list without having a list to start with.
Your 500 club sounds like a good idea. Well worth a look when it comes out.

I know a few “secrets” almost anyone could use to start and build one without leveraging something else they own/know; building lists is KEY [yes, several lists and sub-lists is the new hot trend]

Thanks for making it simple and very clear. List building has always been a problem to marketeers like myself especially I am a newbie who is building my list from scratch.

I am in the save relationship niche and am slowly building my list. It is not easy. I just started out and it is a slow process.
Now, I need to build a list to a 100 before I can start ad swapping and it is rather difficult but neverthelesss….keep going.

Building a big list is fine so long as it is targeted and responsive.
It’s not unheard of to make $4,000 or more with one mailing to a list of only 2000.
The key is, as you say, to write a compelling ad with an enticing headline and have an irresistible offer when they click through. You have to have so many strings to your bow in this business.

List building and traffic generation are key issues for internet marketers.
But so often it’s chicken or egg: you want adswap partners to build your list but you can’t get aswap partners without a list.
You have found a way around this impasse and are to be ccongratulated.

List building is key in any business. Most times quality of leads is very important. What we do is put the leads through a filter to sift the quality once you have the volume, so this 1st strategy is really kuul.
Isn’t this industry great! Here I am connecting from South Africa with people from countries I have not been to.

Hi and just a quick note to say thanks for the info … have spent a fair amount of time setting up a couple of websites with now enough content that I’m happy with to start promoting.
The next phase of course ties in with getting more traffic so thi sis good timing to find your information

Great to have these tips from you. I have only done one adswap so far but it did build my list by over 200 people overnight so it definately works.
The trick is to find people who have a similar size list to you. My list is nearly 500 and I am still looking for others to adswap with. I don’t mind how big your list is but to be fair I am looking for people with the same or less size as mine…

Hi Codrut, and thanks for a very informative video, but what happens when you have a small list that is building, nobody will want to do any swaps with you for less than they have. What would you advise here.
@David Ford: I advise you watch my next videos where I explain more about this. You can arrange for people to mail for you regardless you have a list, or not. You could trade whatever skill or asset you own

Hi Codrut, thanks for reply, i am in the natural health remedies and alternative healing market in the main, and have a free report on herbs and remedies, plus a newsletter for people to join, but this has only just started so my list is relatively small at present.
@David Ford: so how do you plan to increase your list, did you create your strategy yet?
List building can be a struggle!! Swapping lists sounds interesting, I find online most of the marketers refer to this as a JV.

Yah this is something I have tried before. It went over fairly well considering I was just starting out then. With only 100- subscribers. I found that I had a better reception from ad-swap partners when I offered to pay a small fee for inclusion. I proposed that they consider a special discounted rate for me as I was to also send their offer to my list, even though it be smaller. I had decent results.

Hi Codrut, I’m rather new to all of this list building thing. But I must say I’ve been learning a lot about setting up blogs, but I don’t have a list either, which seems to be hard for me at the moment. I do have a list but its not online. I have Avon customers but most of them rather call me instead of going online. So now I’m trying some networking sites to see if anything comes about. I’ve been told about submitting articles to get started so I’m getting ready to sign up with AdWeber, but I’m not sure how to set up or use a auto-responder or landing pages, or opt-in list. But I’m willing to learn. I really enjoyed the video and will be keeping up with you. Thanks
